About the Role:
ComForCare Home Care - Slidell is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing team in Mandeville, LA. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of clients by delivering personalized, one-on-one care right in the comfort of their homes. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to promote safety and independence
- Monitor and document client health status, reporting changes to supervising nursing staff
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and nutritional monitoring
- Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain a clean, safe home environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all home health care protocols
Requirements:
- Active and valid CNA certification in the state of Louisiana
- Prior experience in home health, long-term care, or a clinical setting preferred
- Strong understanding of personal care, infection control, and patient safety practices
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes in the Slidell, LA area
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
